Evenings and Weekends

There are 3 organised evening activities. These can include sports such as football, hurling and basketball, as well as table quiz and board games. We also have a disco and an Irish music and dance evening every week.

On the other evenings, students spend time with the host families and Irish friends, taking part in whatever activities the family chooses. These evenings are great for the students as they spend time with a number of Irish people, practising English conversation in real life situations.

Every Saturday, we organise a day long excursion to places of beauty and interest in Ireland. We visit Dublin every year, and other places visited include the Cliffs of Moher, Killarney, Cork, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Ballybunion, Galway and the Burren.

Sunday is host family day. Host families arrange different outings and events for their students, as part of a family experience. Again, this is an ideal opportunity to have a real immersion experience, and speak only English all day with native speakers.
